Bushfire Recovery Webinar

The past months have seen devastating bushfires rip through Australia, affecting hundreds of families and communities.

On behalf of the AGPAL Group of Companies, we send our thoughts to all those involved and impacted by these disastrous events.

To support recovery efforts in a small way, our team delivered a complimentary webinar titled ‘Bushfire recovery – tools and techniques to assist during the primary care disaster recovery effort’. About the Bushfire Recovery webinar

This one and a half-hour webinar has a general practice focus with learning outcomes aimed at supporting an increased understanding of:

How to respond after a crisis
Strategies to assess the impact on people, processes, infrastructure, providers, and business performance
Business continuity planning
Tips to support the development of a crisis plan and toolkits (including provision of a template), and
Techniques to support the next steps and practice sustainability, inclusive of CQI content and a PDSA cycle for mid to long term recovery.

Throughout the webinar, our expert presenter, David Osman, provides recommendations and strategies, as well as access to a range of resources to assist your practice in managing the impacts of a crisis.

Additionally, practice manager of Marysville Medical Clinic, Anne Marie Ellis, so generously shared the personal experience of losing their clinic in the devasting Black Saturday fires of February 2009. Anne Marie provided us with the response strategies used to manage the loss, and how her team managed to get back to servicing the local community.
